1″ Hoop Pine

This is the bark from the Hoop Pine tree.  It is coarse mulch which is commonly used in large gardens and on banks or sloping ground as it will hang on and not wash away easily.  This mulch is also great under native trees and shrubs, where leaves and bark fall often, as it will blend into the mulch.  1” hoop pine does not breakdown very fast so it doesn’t add compost to the soil.  It also does not compact quickly.
